Creative ways to display natural materials

This idea started when my co-worker asked me if I wanted an old bird's nest she found at her house; of course, I said "yes!" I needed a place to put it on display and came up with this idea. First, I found some sticks that had sturdy Y shapes in the branches. Next, I needed a secure base, and I couldn't use glass in case it ever fell over, so I ended up using a clear two-liter bottle with the top cut off. Next, I filled it with rocks and seashells. One of my students gifted me these awesome peacock feathers a few weeks later, so I weaved them into the branches.
