Flower Power

Flowers are one of nature's most beautiful attributes. However, they can be temperamental, poisonous, and wilt rather quickly.It was my goal to add some color into my natural classroom using flowers.I opted for making my tissue paper flowers.Making tissue paper flowers allowed me to bring the colors of flowers enabling vocabulary development with authentic conversations.I tied the flowers to a long stick and hung them from the ceiling.This gives my classroom depth and absorbs sounds.The flowers have become a focal point and set the mood because that is the first thing your eyes go to when you enter the classroom, setting the mood for a natural learning environment.
